[Fitness With Style] Losing Muscle Mass on Purpose?

Here’s a topic that seems Taboo to write about:
Losing muscle mass on purpose.
Some people do have muscle groups larger than they desire.
Typically the problem area is muscles of the lower body.
These areas can become overdeveloped for SOME people due to a high volume of squatting, deadlifts, lunges, etc.
Some people get this way playing sports.

I’ve worked with men and women from a variety of backgrounds that want to slim down a bit.
I’ve also worked with those who want to add muscle.
I’m not here to judge either way, just here to help.

Here’s a quick outline of how to approach a problem area.
* Drastically reduce volume of exercise. * Stick to low reps short of failure. * Squeeze using “irradiation” to increase muscle density. * Followup lifting with a session of steady state cardio.
This is a way to reduce the size of a body part while keeping it firm, strong and defined.

There was a period of time where I wanted to REDUCE the size of my thighs, INCREASE the size of my shoulders, and MAINTAIN the size of my chest.
A lot of people find themselves in similar situations.
Some muscle groups are always more or less developed than others.
